Happy Labor day
Happy Labor Day 2024, folks.
In celebration, Bubu Future has ordered our first ever batch of marketing collateral (business cards and a flyer).
These were made using Canva, which I have really enjoyed learning how to use. Almost all of our creative work goes through Canva at one point or another. Insanely useful and valuable tool for anyone looking to create anything on the web (or in our case, for printing!).
In terms of the design choices, some things to note:
New logo: We are using a new logo that’s even more simple and easy to read. We made this choice primarily because we want our content/offerings to shine, not the logo. The logo has one simple job, and it’s to be easily recognizable and to the point. Cool blue color vs the old brown theme. I like it way better.
QR codes: This was a fun one. QR codes have been around for a while and have seen a revival in use (thanks, COVID!). We finally got to be able to create/use ours! We generated QR codes for our IG account, Website (you are here), as well as a Zelle payment one. The business cards don’t have the Zelle one, but our IG and website are on there.
Headshots: Sierra and I are Bubu Future. This is an intensely personal (not secret) exercise in business/brand building we’ve undertaken. We have no fear or shame of attaching our faces/names/likenesses to this thing!
Colors: Sierra’s first reaction to the colors I used was “it’s pretty girly”. Be that as it may, I thought the bright fun colors really conveyed the energy we want to spread: positive, happy, fun. COME ON, LET’S GO~
PHONE NUMBER: Bubu Future now has a phone number! Hit us up at (405) 355 - BUBU (2828). You can send texts or voicemails. No live person is answering this phone! Be forewarned.
We did all this because 3 days from now (on September 5th 2024), we’ll be vending at the College of Dupage Buy/Sell/Swap event (our first ever as Bubu Future).

We’ll be pulling a few rack of our favorite clothing finds (focused on the upcoming Fall/Winter season), accessories, as well as some select home goods. The target market here is mostly COD students so we’re keeping that in mind and will be offering special pricing for this show only.
